Muskogee Early Childhood Center and Sadler Arts Academy joined families, veterans and first responders downtown for the September 11, 2026 Patriotic Parade.
The Muskogee High School Color Guard and Rougher Regiment Drum Corps led the procession from North 6th Street along Broadway to 2nd Street.

Muskogee Little Theatre celebrated ten years in its downtown home with a September 30, 2026, ribbon cutting at 311 South Third Street in the Depot District. Kelvin Brown attended and photographed the gathering for Three Forks Media.
Executive Director Laura Hazen welcomed current and former board members and recalled the theatre’s earlier locations. Isabel and Bob Cockle, two original founding board members from 1972, were among those present.
Hazen shared a personal connection to Bob Cockle, who had been her dance instructor and helped her develop toward a professional career. Their connection brought the organization’s history into the anniversary celebration in a personal way.
The nonprofit began in 1972, and an early performance space was created from the former Sequoyah Elementary School cafetorium. Its current downtown facility opened in 2016, providing a new home for local productions and creative experiences.
The theatre’s production of The Crucible opened October 2 and continues through October 10. Remaining scheduled performances include October 4 at 2 p.m. and October 8, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m.
