More Ways to Explore Muskogee: New Features at Community Buzz |
A growing business directory, community event listings and Hot Spots for food trucks and pop-up vendors |

Finding a local business, planning an outing or locating a food truck should be easier than hunting through a long trail of social media posts.
Muskogee Community Buzz is adding new features to help: a business directory, an event listing service, a Hot Spots directory for on-location vendors and an in-depth business profile service.
The additions are being built out now, so some sections—especially the business directory—will look a little empty at first.
I wanted to make these features live so I can test them in real time.
This also gives you a glimpse of what is becoming available for consumers and business owners.
As these services grow, they will bring more useful local information alongside the stories, photographs and newsletter you already know.
A growing business directory
The new directory gives readers a place to browse businesses by category and search for local options.
Listings are being added as the directory grows, with pizza businesses among the first entries readers can explore.
Whether you are looking for somewhere to eat or discovering a business you have not tried, the aim is to make local choices easier to find.
An entry-level business listing is FREE, with optional paid upgrades available.
This is a work in progress, and more businesses and categories will be added over time.
Explore the business directory and check back as it expands.
A new place to find and share events
The Events section brings community listings into the Buzz website, giving readers another way to discover what is happening nearby.
Event organizers can submit a community event through the Post Your Event page.
The site offers free submissions, with approval required before an event goes live.
Organizers can keep their event information current, including changes to the time, venue or other details.
When submitting an event, include a clear description, date, time, location and a useful contact or event link.
Readers should confirm the details of any event that interests them before attending.
Browse event listings or submit your community event.
Hot Spots: where food trucks and pop-ups can be found
Some local businesses move from one location to another, making a permanent street address only part of the story.
The new Hot Spots directory is designed for on-location vendors, with a particular focus on helping readers find food trucks and other mobile or pop-up businesses.
The useful question is simple: Where are you setting up, and when will you be there?
The Hot Spots sign-up page offers approved vendors their own listing and the ability to post dates and times when they are out.
For a food truck, that can help customers plan around a scheduled stop; for a pop-up vendor, it can help neighbors find a temporary setup.
As of October 5, 2026, the Hot Spots page is live but has no vendors listed yet.
Food truck operators and other mobile vendors are invited to help get it started.
Listings depend on businesses supplying current information, so customers should check the latest details before heading out.

In-depth business profiles for people, search engines and AI
Another service focuses on helping local businesses present clearer, more complete information so they are better positioned to be found and understood by search engines and AI tools such as ChatGPT.
Through Green Country Online, we bring the details together on a single, in-depth business profile page that also gives real people a better overall view of your business.
A profile can explain what you offer, what makes your business distinctive, whom you serve and how customers can reach you, along with practical tips and answers to common questions.
The aim is to give potential customers useful answers and make accurate business information easier for search engines and AI systems to interpret.
Clear information supports discoverability, though search rankings and AI mentions are determined by those services.
Premium business profiles will start at $25 annually, if selected.
For an example, explore the Relic Roots business profile.
Help build a more useful local resource
These additions give Muskogee-area businesses and organizers more ways to be found, and readers more reasons to return between newsletter issues.
If you know a business, event organizer or mobile vendor who could benefit, share the appropriate sign-up page with them.
We are building these resources one listing at a time, with the same focus on local people and useful community connections.
