Muskogee burst into green and white as the community united for the celebrated Muskogee Roughers Homecoming 2025.
Inspired by the theme Rougher Road Trip, the week honored local tradition and showcased a lively town spirit.
Homecoming festivities began with the unveiling of Rougher Road, a symbolic renaming that highlights the bond between Muskogee High School and the city.
Students, alumni, and city leaders gathered to commemorate a proud new chapter in the school’s legacy.
Joy continued downtown with the annual parade, featuring the spirited Muskogee Rougher Band, energetic cheerleaders, and vibrant school floats.
Families filled Broadway Street, celebrating community pride and generational unity.
The week concluded with the crowning of the Homecoming Court and a thrilling Roughers victory over Putnam City West—an unforgettable finish to a powerful homecoming celebration.

The wait is over: Rougher Road is officially part of Muskogee, earning a permanent place in the city’s landscape.
On September 29, 2025, Muskogee High School and city leaders gathered for the street sign unveiling, marking the start of Homecoming Week with a spirited celebration.
Students, alumni, and officials cheered as the Rougher Road sign was revealed, uniting the community with school pride and excitement.
This moment culminates years of effort, as the road—long known by locals as Rougher Road—was finally renamed from E. Shawnee Road thanks to the Student Leadership Council, Terry Brossett, and City Council approval.
Mayor Patrick Cale highlighted the road’s symbolic value, celebrating the lasting connection between Muskogee and its students.

The Muskogee community united for the annual 'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes' event, standing against domestic violence and showing strong support for survivors.
